Fiberglass sunshade screen can be made from fiberglass mesh. It is used to protect your home from unwanted light and heat. During the summer months, the heat in certain areas is unbearable. It successfully lowers the cost of cooling. The screens also keep the sun from penetrating the windows and fading your carpets.
Cleaning the screen at least once a month effectively helps to maintain its performance. If you want to clean your fiberglass sunshade screen, the following tools are necessary: duster, window scrubber, rubbing alcohol, bucket, and small towel.
Instructions as below:
1 Dust both sides of the screen. Begin on one side of the front at the top. Dust downward in rows from side to side. Repeat for the back side of the screen.
2 Pour rubbing alcohol onto the sponge of the window scrubber. Move the bottle side to side to pour evenly over the scrubbing sponge.
3 Scrub the outside of the sun screen first. Press firmly on the screen with the sponge scrubber. Start at the top and clean side to side. The dirt and grime will run down the screen. Continue until you reach the base of the screen. Duplicate this step for the back side.
4 Put hot water in the bucket–fill about halfway. Dip the window scrubber to remove the rubbing alcohol. Scrub the screen side to side with the fresh water. Removing all the alcohol is important so discoloration does not occut. Repeat this step for the back side of the screen.
5 Dry thoroughly with the small towel. Wipe down in circles. Start in one top corner and end in the opposite bottom corner. Repeat for the other side of the screen.
